Virginia-based Dominion is expanding its solar power infrastructure in the State by more than doubling the sites for its Dominion Solar for Schools program. The program is for K-12 students and it includes training and curriculum on electricity production from solar.
The program will select six schools/museums to receive solar installations, training, and educational materials. The last date for applications is April 28. Dominion has invested almost $1 billion in solar in Virginia. The president of the Dominion Foundation, Hunter A. Applewhite, stated “We are very pleased to build on the success of our Solar for Schools pilot.”
