New Logic’s Vibrating Membrane System Generates Clean Water & Organic Fertilizer from Cow Manure

New Logic Research has commissioned a VSEP® vibrating membrane system that would generate clean water from digested cow manure. The company was assisted by its distribution partner O.B. Impianti in this project. The system is situated Wipptal in the Italian Alps, and it converts effluent from an anaerobic digester into clean water which can either safely discharged or reused.

Cow manure creates a complicated wastewater treatment scenarios. VSEP’s vibratory shear mechanism and filter pack design creates crystal clear permeate from water heavily laden with biological material.

According to Greg Johnson, New Logic CEO, “Many have tried to treat digester effluent with standard spiral-wound reverse osmosis membrane systems only to find that it’s incredibly difficult, if not impossible.”
