PepsiCo Partners with The Recycling Partnership on Ambitious Project

PepsiCo will support The Recycling Partnership, a national nonprofit, in a cross-sector effort to improve recycling rates in America. Currently, only 22 mil tons of waste is recycled each year out of an available 46 mil.

recyclingThe Recycling Partnership has worked with 400 local communities and recovered 115 mil pounds of material. In 2016, PepsiCo announced plans to design all its packaging to be recoverable or recyclable by 2025.

According to Roberta Barbieri, VP, Global Water and Environmental Solutions at PepsiCo, “PepsiCo’s work with The Recycling Partnership will enable well-informed, collective investment in local recycling infrastructure and education, and drive real environmental benefits in our communities.”
